Windows

System Requirements

  • Personal computer using 386 or faster processor.
  • Microsoft Windows 3.1 or later version (Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows NT and windows XP).
  • At least 4 MB of RAM for Windows 3.1
  • A CD-ROM player.

Printers

  • Virtually any printer supported by Windows (dot matrix, ink jet, color or laser printers).

Macintosh

System Requirements

  • Macintosh computer, including SE, Classic, LC family, Performa, Quadra, Portable, PowerBook, iMac and Power Macintosh including G3 and G4.
  • Mac OS 6.05 version and later, including Mac OS X.
  • At least 4 MB of RAM for Apple System Software.
  • A CD-ROM player.

Printers

  • Virtually any printer supported by Apple (dot matrix, ink jet, color or laser printers).

Installation Instructions

  1. Add fonts in Mac OS 9 and Classic within Mac OX
  2. Quit all open applications. Insert the Fonts4Teachers CD-ROM disk into your Macintosh
  3. Double-click on the Fonts4Teachers Disk icon. See Picture 1(a)
  4. Double-click on the Fonts4Teachers folder. See Picture 1(b)
  5. Double-click on the Mac HD icon to open it up. See Picture 2 (a)
  6. Click once on the Fonts4Teachers Window to make it active (it will turn dark). See Picture 2 (b)
  7. Go to the Edit menu and choose Select All. See Picture 2 (c)
  8. Drag and drop the fonts into the System 9 folder (be careful! Look for the System 9 folder, the one with a "9" inside. Don't get confused with the System X folder). See picture 3 When you let go of the mouse, a dialog box asks if you want to put the fonts where they belong. Click continue (several times, since you are installing 31 fonts!). See picture 4
  9. Remove the Fonts4teachers CD.

Add fonts in Mac OX

  1. Quit all open applications. Insert the Fonts4Teachers CD-ROM disk into your Macintosh
  2. Double-click on the Fonts4Teachers Disk icon. See Picture 1(a)
  3. Double-click on the Fonts4Teachers folder. See Picture 1 (b)
  4. Double-click on the Mac HD icon to open it up. See Picture 2 (a)
  5. Double click on the Library folder to open it up. See picture 2 (b)
  6. Click once on the Fonts4Teachers Window to make it active (it will turn dark). See Picture 3 (a)
  7. Go to the Edit menu and choose Select All. See Picture 3 (b)
  8. Drag and drop the fonts into the Library Fonts folder. See Picture 3(c)
  9. Remove the Fonts4teachers CD

Windows 95, Windows 98, WindowsMe, Windows 2000 Installation

  1. Start Windows. Insert the Fonts4teachers CD-ROM into your computer.
  2. From the Start menu, click Settings-Control Panel. See Picture 1 (a,b,c).
  3. Double-click on the Fonts folder icon to open it. See Picture 2
  4. On the File menu, click Install New Font. See Picture 3 (If the Install New Font option located in the File menu of the Fonts folder is missing (Windows Me and Windows 2000), please refer to the Troubleshooting section, on page 31).
  5. Select the drive from the Drives: menu. Click the drive where your CD-ROM resides (Drive "c:" is always the hard drive; Drive "a:" is always the floppy diskette. None of these drives are the CD-ROM drive. If you are not sure which one is your CD-ROM drive, try first Drive "d:"; later on Drive "e:", and so on, until you find the drive where your CD-ROM resides). See Picture 4 (a)
  6. In Folders:, double-click the fonts4teachers folder. See Picture 4 (b). Now you will see a list of 31 fonts under the List of fonts:. See Picture 4 (c) (Be sure that you REALLY double-click on the fonts4teachers folder and that you WAIT a few seconds until the computer retrieves all the fonts. The first one is called "Abc Alegria").
  7. In List of fonts:, click the font you want to add. To add all of the listed fonts, click Select All, and then click OK. See Picture 4 (d,e)
  8. Close the window. See Picture 4 (f)
  9. Remove the Fonts4teachers CD-ROM.

Windows XP Installation

  1. Start Windows. Insert the Fonts4Teachers CD ROM into your computer.
  2. From the Start menu, click Control Panel, and then double-click. See Picture 1
  3. Double-click on the Fonts folder icon to open it. See Picture 2 (If you see Pick a category instead of the Fonts folder, click on Switch to Classic View on the left menu. See Picture 3 Once you switch to Classic View, a few folders will show up. Look for the Fonts folder icon and double-click on it to open it up. See Picture 2
  4. On the File menu, click Install New Font. See Picture 4
  5. Select the drive from the Drives: menu. Click the drive where your CD-ROM resides (Drive "c:" is always the hard drive; Drive "a:" is always the floppy diskette.
